Need a photo back?
Start in Apple Photos. BestKeeper cannot restore a permanently deleted item.
- Open Photos on your iPhone.
- Find Recently Deleted under Utilities and unlock it with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
- Select the photos or videos you want back, then choose Recover.
Deleted items are normally recoverable for 30 days unless permanently deleted sooner. Read Apple’s recovery instructions.
Answers, without the runaround.
Why didn’t my storage go up?
Cleared items can still occupy storage in Recently Deleted. You can permanently remove them in Photos if you are sure you no longer need them, but that ends the recovery option. With Optimize iPhone Storage, some originals may already be stored mainly in iCloud, so local storage gains can differ from the estimated size. BestKeeper’s storage numbers are estimates; iCloud and system updates can also take time.
How does BestKeeper pick the best photo?
It looks at sharpness, faces, open eyes, framing and light, and it learns from the photos you choose. You always make the final call. Compare shots, change the pick, keep several, keep all, or skip a set.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Analysis runs on your iPhone, and photo content and photo details are not sent to our servers or analytics providers. Purchases, restoration, iCloud downloads, remote configuration and enabled analytics or crash services may use the internet. See the Privacy Policy for the data these services process.
What happens when I clear photos?
Your iPhone asks you to confirm, then the deleted items go to Recently Deleted. With iCloud Photos, they are also removed from your other devices using the same Apple Account. Review your basket carefully and keep independent backups of irreplaceable photos.
How do I get a photo back?
Within the normal 30-day recovery period, open Recently Deleted in Photos, unlock it, select the item and choose Recover. If it has already been permanently deleted, BestKeeper cannot recover it. The step-by-step guide above links to Apple’s instructions.
Why does BestKeeper need full access?
To find similar shots across your whole library. Limited access works too; BestKeeper only sees the photos you pick. You can update access in iPhone Settings.
Why is a photo never suggested?
Protection rules keep favorites, edited photos, manually chosen burst shots, recognized IDs and documents, photos from the last 24 hours, photos in excluded albums, and photos synced from a computer out of cleanup suggestions. Review your protection settings and excluded albums if something seems missing. Recognition is not infallible, so always review before deletion.
What’s the free limit?
The daily free allowance covers 50 photos moved to the basket through AI-assisted cleanup and resets at local midnight. Swipe-by-month review is free and unlimited. Pro removes the AI-assisted daily limit.
How do I cancel?
Open iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → BestKeeper, then cancel the subscription. You can also use Manage subscription in BestKeeper’s settings. Deleting the app does not cancel billing. Follow Apple’s cancellation guide.
I bought Pro but it’s not showing.
Tap Restore purchases in BestKeeper and check that you are signed in to the Apple Account used for the purchase. Connect to the internet and allow any pending Apple purchase to finish. If it still does not appear, email us with the app version and a description of the purchase. Do not send your Apple Account password or full payment details.
BestKeeper marked a good photo as blurry.
Choose to keep it. AI recommendations can be wrong, and BestKeeper never deletes anything without your confirmation. You can change the selection or remove an item from the basket before clearing it.
How do I request a refund?
App Store refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in and follow the refund-request process. Apple determines eligibility under its policies and applicable law.
How do I stop sharing usage or crash data?
In the app, open Settings → Privacy. Turn off Share usage data to stop optional analytics, and turn off Send crash reports separately to stop crash reporting. The usage-data choice does not control crash reports. Photo analysis and purchase restoration do not require optional analytics.
How do I erase BestKeeper’s data?
Use Settings → Privacy → Erase Keeper’s data in the app. This resets local analysis data, preferences and cleanup history, leaving your Photos library untouched. It does not cancel a subscription or erase provider-held records. Email service@brmb.com for a service-side privacy request.
